What Should I Wear to the Interview?

You should wear confidence and a smile to the interview, it really goes a long way. Rock it and own it and of course wear appropriate, industry specific interview clothes. Wearing appropriate attire to your interview is essential, especially since we live in a visual society and first impressions are everything. Studies suggest you are judged before you walk through the door and sometimes before you've even had a chance to sit down and open your mouth to tell them how great you are; so looking the part is a must!
Studies suggest, navy blue and the color black are the most popular and appropriate colors to wear. My "Signature" suggestion is to always dress up than down (wear a suit), but also dress for the position, NEVER wear jeans (unless instructed to do so). Stay away from loud colors, flowers, patterns, and anything short or revealing. Dress conservatively, until you actually get the job and learn what the culture is like.
There's no real trick to interviewing; either the interviewer likes you or they don't, either you're a good fit/match or you're not. Do not take the final decision personally if it does not go in your favor. What is for you, will be for you (what is meant to be, will be). Of course you should prepare to not only look good, but to answer questions effectively. You now have to prove your resume. It's all about making connections, forming relationships and making good lasting first impressions. You also have to be a good fit (perfect match) and likeable. Make sure you are interviewing the interviewer (s) as well. This is where you will spend a good part of your time (place of work) and your overall wellness (both personal and professional) is important too. Do not be afraid of asking questions, (as you should, to show continued interest). The interview does not have to be a one-way street; have a conversation, find common ground and make a connection. Do not forget to send a Thank You Letter within 24 hours of your interview expressing your gratitude for the interviewer's time and the opportunity to express your continued interest, skills, experience and qualifications.
