The Benefit Package

I used to make my sole decision in regards to accepting the job offer on salary, totally disregarding the benefit package. I later learned the hard way, that the benefit package was just as important as the salary offer and sometimes even more so. Sometimes the benefit package can outweigh the salary or at least compensate for it.
Some benefit packages may include: paid vacation and sick or personal time; work from home, 401K Plan; health, dental, life insurance plans; tuition reimbursement; professional development; company car; mileage and gas reimbursement and so much more.
Take the full package into consideration before dismissing any job offer and compare them with other offers if you have them. Compare, negotiate, then decide.
