No Excuses in 2017

I've had a few people tell me recently that they did not know how to upload their resume to job search boards or attach their resumes in an email to potential employers. If you can scroll on Facebook, or navigate Instagram, you can upload and send your resume as an attachment and post it to online job boards. The method is way simpler than you think. It may even be easier than uploading photos to your Twitter account.
Many of us make resolutions or set goals in the New Year. Why not make it a goal to stop making excuses when in comes to our job search? Let our goal in 2017 be to learn a new skill or do something that will benefit us in the long-run. I am going to give you a gift in 2017. How To Send Your Resume As An Attachment In Email
1. Open your email (Gmail)
2. Click "Compose Mail" or "New Email"
3. Click "Attach Files" or the "Paper Clip" icon/button
4. Click the "Open" Button
5. Click "Attach File"
6. Enter the Subject and type the person's email address on the "To" line
7. Type a very message about what you are sending (I write a very short introductory paragraph)
8. Proofread and Click "Send" or "Submit"
How To Post Your Resume To An Online Job Search Engine
1. Follow posting instructions from the job posting (PDF or Word formatting, I recommend PDF).
2. Click the "Browse" button to search for your document (resume) where you may have saved it on your computer or flash/jump drive. It is important to remember how and where you saved your documents.
3. Click "Upload" once the appropriate document appears, then click submit
It really is that simple.
